Anything on your mind?   lets see, I'm Mexican American, i a variety of things. (Anything from HP to HIMYM). I'm currently an art major. I am an assistant librarian as well as a pokemon master. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions, regardless of who is right or wrong. I belief that beauty is the eye of the beholder and that no one should be judged based on how they look. If you want to know more button, feel free to ask away! :D

BTW.... IT'S MORPHIN TIME!!!

interested in my art? Here is a link to my second blog, one dedicated to my artwork

I’m not sure what this post is supposed to mean or imply….Can someone assist me in understanding this?
It feels hateful to me.

i love photographers, love love love LOVE them. There are some people however that FEEL like they are photographers JUST because they have a really expensive camera. they don’t know anything about true photography asthetics or principles.

Hmm…Ok.  True true, but…it still feels hateful to me.  I assume you don’t mean this towards people who genuinely love to take photos, but don’t have the knowledge or education to identify the photography asthetics or principles.  Maybe you mean this towards people who are arrogant and flaunt their work?  Or take up this hobby for shallow reasons?
Either way I don’t think there’s anyone who is beneath owning an expensive camera and taking a crack at photography.  I just relate it back to what I’m more familiar with, which is drawing.  I can’t say “you are not an artist, you just have great art supplies”.  To each their own and I don’t think there is anyone out there who can tell someone who feels they are a photographer, that that is not true.
I dont know…if there’s a person out there trying and they call themselves an artist, no one should tell them they’re not.  This type of thing takes on an elitest mentality.  Art is for everyone.
“Maybe you mean this towards people who are arrogant and flaunt their work?  Or take up this hobby for shallow reasons?” YES!!! that’s exactly it! there are people that take pictures and arrogantly think “I must be a photographer because i took this picture with an expensive camera”. I see your point through an artist perspective, and i see exactly where you’re coming from. One of my instructors tells me the same thing, “Just because someone can use photoshop, does that make them a designer?” I agree with you on the “art is for everyone” and i’ll play with this camera, just to play with it, but there are some elements, esthetics, and forced connections that speak for themselves through a photographer’s/designer’s perspective. An artist (generally speaking) does things to fully showcase their knowledge and understanding of artistic elements and principles. Yes they draw just to draw, and take pictures just to take pictures, but like i said before, there are just some people that don’t understand that there is more to art than a camera and a pencil.
